Een levendige peuter op een regenachtige dag, het is de
nachtmerrie van elke ouder. De voorbije weken hebben we nogal veel van die
dagen gehad, dus ging ik maar eens op zoek naar leuke activiteiten om een
4-jarig jongetje bezig te houden!
Schilderen in bad
Een activiteit die we al verschillende keren hebben herhaald
en die iedere keer weer succes heeft. Geen nood voor wie geen bad heeft, in de
douche werkt het evengoed. Heel veel lol voor de kindjes, en als ouder moet je
er niet mee inzitten want het is supermakkelijk te maken én het ruimt zonder
problemen op!
Voor badverf heb je namelijk maar 2 ingrediënten nodig:
goedkoop scheerschuim en voedsel kleurstof. Je spuit scheerschuim in een paar
bekertjes en voegt bij elk bekertje enkele druppels kleurstof. Goed menen en
zie daar: badverf.
Nu kan je je kleine spruit naar hartenlust laten ‘schilderen’
en de pret kan niet meer op. Eerst verwonderd kijken hoe het witte schuim in
gekleurde verf veranderd, dan natuurlijk het schilderen zelf, met de handjes of
een grote verfborstel. De muren, het bad, zichzelf, alles moet eraan geloven.
Nadien wordt al het resterend schuim op de bodem van het bad uitgesmeerd om een
indoor schaatsbaan te maken. Opgelet, dit is glad en kan valpartijen
veroorzaken!
Na alle pret is het ook supergemakkelijk opruimen, gewoon de
douche sproeier erop zetten en alles verdwijnt als sneeuw voor de zon. Ook dat
vinden de kleinsten fascinerend. Extra voordeel is dat je kleine schat de rest
van de dag zalig naar scheerschuim ruikt!

A vivid

however brought us several of those days. Time for me to go on a search for fun
activities to keep a 4-year old happy.
Painting the bath tub
This is an
activity we already tried a few times before, and it has proven to be a success
every time. No worries for those of you without a tub, a shower cabin will do
the trick just as well. It’s a lot of fun for the little ones, super easy to
make and no hassle to clean up afterwards.
You only
need 2 ingedients for this paint, namely cheap shaving cream and food
colouring. You simply put shaving cream in different cups and add a few drops
of food colouring to every cup. See the delighted faces when the white stuff
turns into beautiful coloured paint! Then the painting itself of course, with a
paint brush or just the hands. Walls, tub, themselves, everything gets a new
colour! The rest of the paint is used to turn the tub into an indoor ice
skating slope. Be careful, this is slippery and can cause slipping and falling
toddlers.
After all
the painting and skating fun it is time to clean up and once again this is
moment of joy, because all that paint washes away like snow in the sun.
Extremely fascinating for the little ones, and as an extra you have a
shaving-cream-smelling little toddler for the rest of the day.
